Department Overview

We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master to support the mCDP Integration Services and mParticle Engineering teams by driving agile excellence, delivery discipline, and operational consistency across multiple squads.This role will serve as the primary facilitator and champion of agile ways of working, ensuring teams maintain strong delivery practices, Jira hygiene, predictable sprint execution, and adherence to established engineering and product development processes.

The ideal candidate has experience supporting multiple delivery squads operating as a single cohesive product team and is comfortable managing complex dependencies across data, platform, and digital engineering initiatives.The successful candidate will partner closely with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, Stakeholders, and Engineering squads to improve delivery effectiveness, increase transparency, and foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the mCDP organization.

Duties

Agile Delivery & Ways of Working

  • Lead and facilitate all agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, retrospectives, and release planning activities.
  • Champion agile best practices and ensure consistent adoption of established ways of working across the mCDP Integration Services and mParticle Engineering teams.
  • Coach teams on agile principles, continuous improvement, team accountability, and delivery predictability.

Delivery Governance & Jira Excellence

  • Establish and enforce standards for Jira hygiene, backlog management, sprint readiness, story quality, estimation practices, workflow compliance, and reporting.
  • Ensure work items are appropriately sized, prioritized, documented, and tracked throughout the delivery lifecycle.
  • Monitor sprint commitments, team capacity, velocity, and delivery health metrics to improve predictability and execution.
  • Maintain delivery dashboards and reporting to provide clear visibility into team progress, risks, blockers, and outcomes.

Cross-Team Coordination & Dependency Management

  • Coordinate dependencies across engineering, product, architecture, data, and platform teams to ensure successful delivery of roadmap commitments.
  • Facilitate collaboration between geographically distributed teams and stakeholders.
  • Support release planning activities and ensure alignment across multiple concurrent initiatives.

Continuous Improvement & Delivery Optimization

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on team effectiveness, quality, velocity, and operational maturity.
  • Analyze delivery metrics and identify opportunities to improve planning accuracy, execution efficiency, and team performance.
  • Help establish scalable delivery practices that support growth across the broader mCDP ecosystem.

Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as a trusted partner to Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and stakeholders by providing transparency into delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and execution challenges.

Qualifications

Experience

  • 5+ years supporting agile software and/or data engineering delivery teams.
  • Experience coordinating multiple squads within a complex platform or product organization.
  • Experience supporting Data Engineering, Analytics, Cloud, Martech, Customer Data Platform, or Digital Product teams.
  • Proven success driving agile adoption, delivery improvements, and operational excellence across engineering organizations.
  • Familiarity with software development lifecycles, CI/CD practices, and modern engineering organizations.Experience managing dependencies across cross-functional technical teams.
  • Advanced experience with Jira, Jira Product Discovery, Confluence, and agile reporting tools.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM), Professional Scrum Master (PSM), SAFe Agilist, or equivalent agile certification.
  • Experience supporting customer data platforms, marketing technology platforms, data engineering teams, or digital product organizations.
  • Familiarity with customer data, audience activation, MarTech, loyalty, or digital customer engagement platforms.

Salary Range

The expected salary range for this role is $127,332.00 - $159,165.00 per year
